Privacy policy — Watch Base for Android
This page covers the Watch Base Android app (Google Play package store.watchbase.android). The watchbase.store website has its own privacy policy at /privacy.
What the app collects
The app collects the minimum it needs to work: a Watch Base account (if you choose to create one), your Google Play purchase status (to unlock paid faces), and basic device information (model, Android version, Wear OS version) to help us reproduce bugs.
We do not collect your contacts, location, photos, or browsing history.
Account data
If you create an account, we store your email and a hashed password. We use the email to contact you about your account or purchase, never for marketing without explicit opt-in.
Purchase data
Purchases happen through Google Play. We receive a purchase token from Google that proves the purchase is valid; we store that token alongside your account so the app knows which faces to unlock. We don’t see your card number or full billing address.
Diagnostic data
If the app crashes, we may receive a crash report through Google Play’s standard crash-reporting tools. These reports include device model, Android version, and a stack trace — no personal content.
Sharing
We don’t sell your data. We don’t share it with third parties for marketing. We share what’s strictly necessary with Google Play (for purchases) and Firebase (for push notifications, if you enable them).
Push notifications
If you opt in, we may send notifications about new faces or app updates. You can disable them in your phone’s notification settings.
Your rights
You can request to delete your account at any time — see /delete-account. You can request a copy of your account data by emailing support@watchbase.store.
Children
The Watch Base app is not directed at children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we’ll update the date at the top and notify users in the app on next launch.
